Why Plano pharmacys lose money on delivery today
- • Courier costs erode already-thin dispensing margins
- • Homebound and mobility-limited patients miss pickups
- • Chain competitors already advertise same-day delivery
Plano sits on the US-75 Central Expressway corridor, in Collin County. Ground routes fight that corridor every trip; a drone flies straight over it.
Drone-eligible payloads
- • Prescription fills
- • OTC medication
- • Test kits and thermometers
- • Diabetic supplies
- • First-aid and wound care
