Question 1

How fast is neighborhood drone delivery?

Accepted Answer

Most in-range suburban orders target a 30-minute flight window from the moment your merchant completes Pack-to-Pod. You see a live map, groundspeed, altitude, and ETA the entire time the airframe is en route.

Question 2

Where exactly does the drone drop my package?

Accepted Answer

On the backyard drop target pad you set yourself. You drop a precise pin on your property, mark overhead hazards like power lines, pools, or large trees, and designate the landing pad. Every order cross-references that safety profile before dispatch.

Question 3

What if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

Checkout runs an automated wind and conditions check at both the merchant and destination coordinates. If winds exceed 15 mph, aerial delivery is paused for that zone and you'll see a clear warning rather than a failed flight.

Question 4

How do I know the delivery is really mine?

Accepted Answer

You release the payload with a 6-digit OTP when the drone arrives, and you get a camera snapshot showing the package on your pad as proof of delivery.

Question 5

Is there anything I can't order by drone?

Accepted Answer

Yes — anything over 5.0 lbs or larger than standard cargo dimensions. Those items are grayed out with a clear badge so there are no surprises at checkout. Drone delivery is our main service. In areas without active flight routes, or for orders too large to fly, we can hand the order to a partner ground courier instead.

Question 6

What happens if a flight is aborted mid-mission?

Accepted Answer

Fleet operators run an exception and reroute protocol. You're notified immediately, the mission is logged, and the order is either rerouted to a safe recovery point or refunded.

Question 7

How much does drone delivery cost me as a shopper?

Accepted Answer

Eligible drone delivery has a $0 shopper delivery fee when approved routes are active. Ground delivery uses the lowest available courier quote plus provider fees, confirmed before payment, with no SkyMesh delivery markup. The $3.00 routing fee is merchant-side, not added to your bill.

Question 8

Do I need a big backyard to receive a drone delivery?

Accepted Answer

No. You need one clear landing area roughly the size of a car parking space with no overhead obstruction — a backyard patch, driveway apron, patio, or flat rooftop all qualify.

Question 9

What if I'm not home when the drone arrives?

Accepted Answer

You don't need to be. The payload releases onto your mapped pad once the OTP is entered — you can enter it from your phone anywhere — and the camera snapshot confirms exactly where it landed.

Question 10

Which stores can I order from?

Accepted Answer

Any independent merchant in your flight envelope that has joined the network: hardware stores, pharmacies, grocers, bakeries, auto parts counters, pet shops, and boutiques. Browse by category on the storefront to see who's live near you.

Question 11

Is drone delivery available in my ZIP code yet?

Accepted Answer

Coverage unlocks region by region as certified operators activate corridors. Use the ZIP coverage checker on the home page — if your area isn't live yet, you can join the notify list and we'll message you the day flights open.

Question 12

How do I track my order in flight?

Accepted Answer

Open Track Deliveries. You'll see live map position, altitude, groundspeed, and ETA from the moment the merchant completes Pack-to-Pod until touchdown.

Question 13

Can I return an item delivered by drone?

Accepted Answer

Returns are handled directly with the merchant under their normal policy. Drones are dispatch-only today — we don't fly return pickups — so returns go back in store or by your merchant's usual method.

Question 14

Is drone delivery safe around kids and pets?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when your drop zone is mapped correctly. Aircraft hold altitude until they're over your designated pad, hazard notes keep them clear of trees, wires, and pools, and you should keep people and pets clear of the pad during the final descent.

Question 15

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Card payment is captured securely at checkout. Your total shows the item price and any quoted ground delivery cost before payment. SkyMesh adds no delivery markup or shopper routing fee; payment stays unavailable if a live ground quote cannot be confirmed.
